Apple’s Thunderbolt Display has been around for years. It is outdated in all respects and is in desperate need of an upgrade. Apple must do something to update this soon because nobody would buy this product. With the release of the MacBook last year and with the rumors of a MacBook Pro with four USB-C ports on it. It seems like Apple may be ditching the Thunderbolt Display completely and waiting for the technology to come for a USB-C Display. Apple is trying to slowly push the market toward USB-C, so it makes complete sense to do this. Apple is waiting for a time when they can update the iMac, Mac Mini, and Mac Pro with at least one USB-C port. Those products should receive an update before the end of the year, along with a USB-C Display.
