Breaking news: After the company received several emails containing bomb threats, Apple evacuated their four plants in Lavitts Quay, Hollyhill and Model Farm Road, including their European Headquarters, located in Cork, Ireland. Almost 5,000 employees poured into the streets outside Apple's buildings as local law enforcement, known as Garda (guard), responded to the potential threat of life that had caused so much disruption. Apple has thus far only confirmed that their evacuations were the result of the email threatening to target said buildings with explosives. The Irish Independent has confirmed that explosive ordnance disposal teams are standing by in case they are needed. We'll have more on this story as it unfolds.
Update: Apple have confirmed that the threat has been relinquished and all of the previously evacuated employees are returning to work. Thank you for reading TeamApple News, your #1 source for breaking news regarding Apple.
