iOS 10 may include a new app called Home. This rumor was present last year when iOS 9 was released but it never showed up. The app itself would enable you to control all of your HomeKit products from one app. Although this may not be a feature at WWDC it would sure be a useful one. We did find some information that came from an Apple employee on Amazon "As I work in marketing for Apple, we test many Smart Home devices, especially for iOS HomeKit integration. [...] Some advice, there are many third party applications, most free, that offer more control and customization(s) with many Smart Home devices. "Yonomi" is a free app that I often use, "Home" is another which cost $14.99. Both offer support for many devices with more added daily (including Amazon "Echo"). The next version of iOS due this fall will have a standalone "HomeKit" app as well".
We cannot verify that this is what Apple is going to do, it does seem likely.
